Madeira is a beautiful island full of charm and character,
its lush green valleys and mountains are the perfect surrounding
for a truly relaxing holiday. Madeira has a wonderful blend of spectacular
scenery, warm hospitality, exceptional cuisine and the 2 golf courses
on this island are exquisite; both offer spectacular sea views with
bright and vivid flora.
Marion and Gary invite you to join them on the beautiful
sun drenched island of Madeira. The Casa Velha is a former hunting
lodge and is situated within the beautiful Palheiro gardens. You
could not wish for a more idyllic setting. The restaurant serves
breakfast lunch and dinner and offers both table d’hote and
a la cart menus with Portuguese and International dishes prepared
by the award winning gourmet chef.
There is a complimentary shuttle service into the
capital city, Funchal, which has plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants.
The hotel and the golf course are owned by the Blandy
family who I’m sure you are aware also are the producers of
the famedMadeira wine.
The Palheiro golf course is set amongst magnificent trees, shrubs
and formal gardens. And makes use of the hills and valleys of the
Palheiro estate. It really is an ideal holiday course, not to long
and demanding for the average player but still a great and beautiful
challenge. Santa da Serra on the other hand regularly plays host
to the European Tour, and is nothing short of spectacular, with
magnificent views over sea and mountains.
The itinerary of your holiday
Day 1. Start your holiday in the V.I.P. lounge at
Gatwick. Afternoon Flights from the autumn chill in the UK to the
beautiful island of Madeira, and transfer to our luxury hotel.
Day 2. Tee off A.M. at Palheiro GC. Round 1 Stableford Competition
Afternoon at Leisure to enjoy your hotel, or perhaps take the courtesy
bus into Funchel.
Evening dinner at Hotel
Day 3. Tee off A.M. at Palheiro GC. Round 2 Stableford Competition
Afternoon at Leisure a chance to explore the beautiful Blandy Gardens,
or simply relax by the Pool.
Evening dinner at Hotel
Day4. Day at leisure, afternoon Wine tasting at the Madeira Wine
Company in the centre of Funchal. A guided private tasting of selected
Madeira wines and canapés.
Evening dinner at Hotel
Day 5. Coach transfer To Santa da Serre Championship Golf Course,
Round 3 Stableford Competition.
Evening dinner at Hotel
Day 6. Tee of A.M. at Palheiro Round 4 Stableford Competition Afternoon
at
Leisure, or a chance to take the Cable Car to Monte Evening dinner
at Hotel.
Day 7. A final day to relax around the pool or maybe take a tour
of this beautiful island.
Evening dinner and Prize Giving at Hotel
Day 8. Transfer to Funchal airport for our short afternoon flight
home.
